Dearest blog, entry #70:

You: Less words, more oomph.
Me: That looks like zero miles per hour.
Lemon Balm growing outside the garden, literally thinking outside the box.
Dully noted.
Probably the best free-ist zucchini trellis.
Over time kitchen tools evolve into gardening tools.
Recession.
...And I love milk.
Got a little of a puddle problem...
...From stealing dirt for all the containers...
...Need to find dirt...

Whatever, here's a buttload of pictures...

Ghetto Cucumber Trellis.
So...many...sunflowers...that...must...die...

Finally seeing specific leafage (<--???)
that hints these might be carrots and not weeds.
D'oh.
Hawt pepper

...Then baseball happened...
(new record: arrived top of the 6th, left bottom of the 9th)
(It was tied 2-2)

...It's...really...boring...

my neighbors were having a party and I didn't want
them to see me taking pictures of myself.

I don’t want to brag but….

(that’s exactly what ppl say before starting to brag)

The garden is doing some really neat things.

*also don’t want to brag cause I stole that joke from a comedian, a female comedian.

Nothing looks new from the wide shot.
That's what she said.

This is my greed garden (right). it is based on the assumption
that plants do not need light or soil-based nutrients.
We'll see.
(fingers crossed)
(obviously)

Am I suppose to put the text before or after the image?
Is this the right spot for this question? and this one?
Po-to-the-ta-to-the-toes-to-the
(sung to the tune of Moesha's theme song)

onions MOUNT UP.
(sung to the tune Regulators when they say, "Regulators!!! Mount up.")
It was a clear black night, a clear white moon...

Sunflower seed sprouting. Ain't no thang...
...But 4 of them?
that is a thang.
I've been eating this...
Despite how well it photographs.
and this one? If you paid by the focus this lens would be so cheap.
Bro-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-li (sung to the Arcade Fire tune Rococo)
Unbelievably pathetic how long it took me to count the right amount of Co's.
pretty sure I'm wrong too.
Gotta be honest.

Cause, like I said, I don't want to brag...

*probably not doing turnips, that was an embarrassing lapse in judgement.
**Potato bin has been rotated, a thousand apologies...
***Roommate planted corn in the back left so cucumbers will be in the corner and trellised away.
****So much of this is going to change this weekend, this post is worthless.

WITHOUT.
WORTH.

Shit... So it (re)begins...

Blog resurrection...

Under....

One...

Condition(al sentence)...

Less funny, more informative and even more mom-friendly...

think Martha Stewart (but not so unintentionally hot)

Ok.. catching up... I blogged on a website call Facebook last year. (www.facebook.com)

...And... that's about it.

Here's some pics of last year's garden...

This is where Alley Cats fight...

New things I’m trying out this year…

Gardening with a shirt on. (this has nothing to do with gaining a billion pounds since last blog. Skin cancer People!)

- -Less jokes, more information

- -Potatoes, garlic and onions

- -And broccoli

- -Mulch (plastic, straw and maybe something else) (everything is better in 3’s)

- -Especially company

- -Gardening during lunch breaks (bye-bye 4 pint lunches)

- -Less beauty, more practicality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness (sorry, last joke I promise, when you’re on, you’re on)

- -Successful hanging basket gardening (Don't put a joke here)

- -Guerilla gardening (so don’t get scared if I pop up in your backyard, at least I’m not burning your sheds down like last year.) Shit, here comes CSIS again.

*Lil Leslieville Humour...

- This is more of a journal for myself, oops.

Here's some pics, Jon:

these Are my Tools...

But I'm basically just using my fingernails now...

Carrots sprouting...

Broccoli...
Did you know the part we eat is just a large collection of unbloomed flowers?
See, not funny at all. Ain't so bad...
Carrots from last year that survived winter...
Moms would think this is cool... Just sayin'.
Over-wintered spinach...
At least as cool as the Old Spice commercials...
Give me that at least....
Garlic... Should be planted in late fall to be over-wintered and picked late spring...
But I live life to the fullest...
Like I said, efficient, not pretty...
...And the Pièce dé Résistànce...
My potato bin...
Sorry for my all-worldliness, Pièce dé Résistànce means Piece of Resistance...
Also means I destroyed a $600 table for potentially no reason...
This could also double as the very worst baby crib...
